Sagan Daniels

Sagan is a dynamic and enthusiastic newly graduated actor. From his humble beginnings in North London, he has been an active member of community activities participating in many dramatic and sporting events. As Sagan has got older it has become clear that he is most at home in the world of theatre and in creating theatre with younger people that challenges social stereotypes.

In 1998 Sagan was given the opportunity to attend a boarding school in the city of Cambridge, he took this opportunity and had never looked back since. His schooling gave him the spring board he needed to become an active member of the community. From an early age, Sagan was assisting the direction of junior school plays and he gained many sport coaching qualifications. It was clear during Sagan's GCSEs that a path in the theatrical world was ahead of him, therefore an application to the Mountview Academy of Theatrical Arts was opportunity not to be missed. Subsequently a strong relationship developed between Sagan and the academy and he became a valued member of it.

Whilst at Mountview Sagan was introduced to Jonathon Petherbridge (artistic director of the London Bubble theatre company) this meeting enabled Sagan to pursue career avenues with the company. In the summer of 2005 Sagan took a gap year from his training and joined the London Bubble theatre company as an assistant director on their TIE project. The project involved touring twelve South East London secondary schools gathering information and devising around the topical issues that effected the lives of youths in that part of London. The purpose of this was to collate the information and produce a forum theatre based play inspired by the work of Augusto Boal. The experience gave him first hand insight into the workings for forum theatre and community relations with young people from all walks of life. The seeds were sown for a career in community based projects.

Sagan returned to Mountview and joined their casting agency and has promising roles and opportunities ahead of him, as well as this Sagan hopes to enrol at Goldsmiths University on the Applied Theatre MA course.
