Stephanie Turner Be Inspired By An Aspiring Artist Stephanie Turner is an innovative individual, who has always had a clear love for creative action and views the arts as a positive outlet of expressive emotion, thoughts and feelings. She has become an experienced performer, with a passion for the power of the voice. Adopting a multi-faceted approach to vocal techniques and using the voice to explore, develop and teach; song, poetry, speech, spoken word, rap and beat-box. Stephanie has accomplished Media studies, Business studies and Music Technology A-levels. Currently studying an intensive English Literature and Language course in preparation for University and attending as many creative workshops as possible, developing creative skills at WAC (Weekend Arts College), The Roundhouse and KORI ARTS.
These skills have been effectuated and matured working with youth organisations Camden Crossroads, Haverstock School and KORI ARTS. Stephanie volunteered as a youth worker at Haverstock School’s after school club, was then recommended to Camden Crossroads where she acted as a youth mentor for young carers. Stephanie has entered competitions along with performance partner Onome Edgeworth; they have been victorious in their entry to The Rise Slam 2007 and The London Transport Museum Slam 2007 awarding them poets in residency and a year’s management. They have begun to build up a client base for commissioned performances and also commencing Poetry Workshops in Primary and Secondary Schools continuing their aspiring path of educating through art internationally. |
